Burglaries to outbuildings

Hello all

I very recently posted a message about burglaries in the Ivychurch area.

Unfortunately we have had another one in Ruckinge overnight (Saturday 5th into Sunday 6th). I appreciate that Ruckinge isn't in the Marsh wards but it's only a skip hop and a jump from the Marsh.

The offenders appear to be accessing outbuildings/sheds via land or farmer's fields from behind the main dwelling using a vehicle and then on foot.

Please ‘target harden’ any access points that lead to your outbuildings especially if they contain tools of any kind, let's make it as difficult as possible for these offenders to steal what isn't theirs.

I always bang on about CCTV and security lights and although CCTV doesn't always stop them, it does give us something to go on with regards to the subsequent investigation, clean those spider webs off of the lenses and ensure they're covering the areas most vulnerable and that your subscriptions are in date or SD memory cards are in the cameras and are working.

If you see any vehicle that is acting suspiciously whether that is in the day or at night being driven past your property please try and make a note of make, model, colour and registration number and if necessary ring 999.

Please also email me with any details that you think are relevant and I will look into it.

The vehicles being used are probably large 4x4s but don't rule any vehicle out of the equation.

Thank you in advance for your assistance and vigilance.

Steve.
